IBARMIA IINOVATEK is a company belonging to the business group of machine-tool sector IBARMIA, dedicated to making manufacturing CNC solutions based on machining centers. The group consists of 78 people in total. The company is owned by seven people.

Legally a Foundation, Tecnalia is the leading private and independent research and technology organisation in Spain and one of the largest in Europe, employing 1,319 people (198 PhDs) and with income of 94 Million € in 2014. GKN Aerospace Norway AS (GAN) is a manufacturer of complex and vital jet engine components employing around 500 highly skilled employees and a turnover of 1.560 MNOK (2015).

In addition to the Michelin brand, it also owns the BFGoodrich, Kleber, Tigar, Riken, Kormoran and Uniroyal (in North America) tire brands. The number of employees working in the group has risen from 111,290 in 2013 to 112.306 in 2014. Temporary contract workers only represent 4% of Group employees.

Precitec GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1971, has gained an international reputation for being an expert in providing complex system solutions for laser material processing, especially in the field of sensor technology. The expertise in the implementation of sensors covers the area of cutting technology as well as the area of welding technology. All the integrated sensors raise the efficiency and the robustness of the systems itself and the reliability of the laser processing applications the components are installed. In this project two main fields of work are in demand, the experience in design and manufacturing of processing heads as well as the sensor technologies, especially in the area of process monitoring and quality control of laser material processing applications and the overlap of these two fields, integration of suitable sensor devices into processing heads at the maximum.

The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) is a teaching and research institution officially founded in 1985. The university employs over 7.000 people throughout 31 faculties and schools geographically distributed in three campuses with over 50,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The UPV/EHU is the Spanish University offering the highest number of doctorate programmes, one third of these degrees having a quality mention from the Spanish Ministry of Education.
